Wastewater Treatment Plants and Landfills

Treatment of municipal and industrial waste water as well as the later recirculation into the water cycle is the main task of wastewater treatment plants. Incidental sludges are collected in digesters and decomposed in anaerobic digestion processes.

In landfills waste ist stored for long periods and is also subject to anaerobic digestion processes. In both cases sewer gases are formed and either burned via torches or also increasingly used for power generation. The gas analysis (CH4, O2, CO2, H2S, H2) provides information about energy content, process management and explosion protection.

Special Requirements

The technical requirements and challanges in waste water treatment plants and landfills are partly very similar. The gases to be analysed contain mostly a high water vapour share as well as possibly corrosive, toxic and explosive components. Thus ATEX zones can be present at sampling, transport as well as conditioning of the gas.

For the maintenance-friendly PSG Plus Probe also a feature option with ATEX heating is possible.

The sample lines PSG Plus Extruded and the patented PSG Process Extruded ATEX2 unite several advantages rolled into one: the robust and resistant PVC or TPU outer jackets guarantee longevity. In addition shortening the line to the right length is possible on-site.

For conditioning the PTFE coated heat exchanger of the high performance PSG Plus Cooler MAK 10 system ensures a corrosion resistant and hydrophobic surface. The PSG Process Cooler BCR05 ATEX is designed for operation in zone I and zone II.

Furthermore the PSG process analytical team offers turnkey solutions from small sampling plates up to analyser houses and containers since more than 30 years and with worldwide references.
